The Registry uses one strictly necessary session cookie and no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies.
1. The short version
The EBRICS Registry sets one cookie, and only because the site cannot work securely without it. There are no analytics, advertising, social media or third-party cookies, and no tracking pixels. Because the only cookie is strictly necessary, no cookie consent banner is shown.
2. The cookie we use

The cookie is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict. It contains a random identifier only; no personal information is stored in it.
3. Other storage
The Registry does not use local storage, session storage or IndexedDB in your browser. Verification results are not saved on your device unless you choose to print or save them.
4. External links
Links to regulators and sanctions lists open the relevant external site, which may set its own cookies under its own policies.
5. Legal basis
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (UK) and equivalent rules elsewhere, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service the user has requested are exempt from consent. If the Registry ever introduces a non-essential cookie, this notice will be updated and your consent will be requested first.
6. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block EBRICSSID, forms on the Registry will not submit.
