Modern Slavery & Human Rights Statement
The Registry's commitment to preventing modern slavery, forced labour and human-trafficking risks in its own operations and supply chain, and in the fuel-industry relationships it verifies.
1. Our position
Eurabelt Fuels Ltd opposes modern slavery, forced and child labour and human trafficking in every form. This statement is published voluntarily, in the spirit of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (United Kingdom) and Canada's Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act. It is approved by the board and reviewed annually.
2. Our business and supply chain
The Registry is a verification and compliance service. Its direct supply chain consists mainly of professional services, software, hosting, telecommunications and data providers. The fuel-industry principals it verifies operate in upstream, shipping, storage and refining activities, where recognised human-rights risks include forced labour among seafarers and contract workers.
3. How we address the risks
- Our own staff: fair contracts, lawful wages, freedom to leave employment, and a confidential Speak-Up channel.
- Our suppliers: due diligence proportionate to risk, and contract terms that prohibit forced labour and require equivalent commitments down their own supply chains.
- Registry verification: credible adverse information about forced labour or human trafficking involving an applicant or holder is treated as a compliance concern under the Verification Standard. It may lead to enhanced review, suspension or revocation.
4. Training
Compliance staff are trained to recognise indicators of forced labour and trafficking, including in maritime and supply-chain documentation.
5. Reporting
Concerns can be raised with speakup@eurabeltfuels.com, anonymously if preferred. In the UK, the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline is also available.
